This alpine lake sits in the side of Rampart Ridge and is a beautiful site for experienced hikers. Rocks, roots, blow downs, streams and mud are just some of the things you will have to deal with to get there...but it is definitely worth it. You can also visit Lila Lake and Rampart Lakes which are close by. This hike is 8 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1,900', with 1,300' of this is in the last 1.5 miles.
Directions: Take I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass and exit at Lake Kachess (#62). Follow the signs to Kachess campground and take a left on Box Canyon road. Continue for 4 miles to a junction and turn left. The trail head and parking lot are just ahead.
