There are 3 lakes here sitting at the base of the Sawtooth basalt spires and is worth this tough hike. Round trip is 8 miles but you will fight climbing over, under and around logs and boulders. Elevation gain is 2,300' and I advise to head to the upper lake, which has the nicest campsites by far. Fishing here is also good and lots of side trips with views.
Directions: US 101 up to the Hamma Hamma road where you turn left and follow the Hamma Hamma for 14 miles to the trail head at the far side of the bridge.
