Goat Lake
---

A subalpine lake set below clifes and glaciers that makes one of the most beautiful settings anywhere. This is a 10 mile round trip hike that gains just over 1,200' and still offers some long ago mining artifacts scattered around the area. Snow fed waterfalls are all around and feed this very cold lake. Camping is only allowed at the site of the old hotel located on a knoll above the outlet.

Directions: Drive from Verlot on the Mountain Loop Hwy 20 miles to Barlow Pass then north 4 miles to Elliott Creek Road. Turn right 1 mile to a gate and the parking area.
