Cutthroat Lakes
---

There are 5 alpine likes in this group which gives you a chance to find a secluded spot to camp. The first mile is a abandon road with views of Spada Lake and a number of peaks. The real trail begins at the 1 mile mark and 1.5 miles farther, you will reach the high point of 4,500'. With a total round trip distance of 7 miles and 1,500' gain, this is not a real tough hike but there are two spots that you have to scamble a bit. 1 mile to go to the first and largest lake which even has an island in the middle. A couple of the lakes are more pond then lake and take some exploring to find.

Directions: From the east end of Granit Falls turn right on South Alder the left on Eas Pioneer for 4.5 miles. Left on the Dept. of Natural Resources Road #P5000 and drive 12.5 miles to a junction. About 3 miles farthur you cross the bridge over Williamson Creek and continue upstream. At 1.5 continue straight at the junction then left and across Williamson Creek again and about 4 miles farther to the Bald Mountain/ Cutthroat Lakes trailhead.
