Blake Island State Park

This tiny island in Puget Sound is an oasis just a short boat ride from downtown Seattle. There is no ferry that goes to the island but you can either take the Argosy Tour boat from the Seattle Waterfront of your own boat. Lots of moorage at the island and to campgrounds. The campground on the back side of the island is a much more secluded and beautiful campground and you can either hike from the dock (about 1.2 miles or use the moorage just off the beach. You sill need a dingy to get to shore since this is a tie-up moorage only. Be sure to visit the longhouse while on the island and you many days you can watch Native American carvers at work.
