| Games are a time tested part of Scouting because they create healthy competition and are a source of learning, fellowship, teamwork and in with many games, physical exercise. Some people will tell you that winning and losing are a bad things when in reality they are a great learning tool for the future. When was the last time you found a job where you did not have to learn a skill, try to do your best or did not have to compete against other people to get it?
Striving to do your best is the ultimate goal. Learning to accept failure as well as winning is a life lesson.
